The Premium HDMI Cable Specification 1.1 was released by HDMI LA on 24 May 2018. Comparing with the previous version, the Premium HDMI 1.1 includes Active HDMI cables, which supports UHD resolutions up to 4K@60Hz, bandwidth up to 18Gbps, and cable lengths up to 15m. Every length of every model line is required to be tested and certified at HDMI Authorized Test Centers (ATCs), in order to ensure the cable is qualified for the Premium HDMI 1.1 specification. A certified Premium HDMI cable is therefore qualified to get the authentication anti-counterfeiting Premium HDMI Cable Label from HDMI LA. ELKA was honorably invited to join HDMI LA for promoting ACTIVE PREMIUN HIGH SPEED HDMI CABLE at Computex 2018.
Nowadays, the power capabilities of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) cables keep growing in order to satisfy the demand for faster charging and powering devices of higher wattage. However, are you aware that there are many poorly constructed charging cables and connectors in the marketplace, which may cause a potential safety risk of overheating and fire to users? In the light of this, UL developed an ICT Power Cable Certification (is called UL9990) in September 2017, to control the materials of cable/connector, electrical design. Under UL9990, cable assemblies are subject to the following sequence of tests:

In addition to Spectra7's HT-8181, Elka is adding up "Polar" to its HDMI 2.0 active cable solutions. Our Polar Active Cable with power is ready for mass production. It supports HDMI 2.0 connection up to 20 meters and provides better high frequency transmitting performance, as well as EMI protection. Moreover, we conducted not only the high-frequency parametric tests using Keysight's Network Analyzer but also the interoperability tests (including Quantum Data's 980A, Murideo's SIX-A/G as well as Simplay Lab's SL-881) to ensure that our cables are for 4K players, gaming systems, and displays with interoperability.
